Annual “Scone Off” Fundraiser
Operation Rudolph, the East Devon-based volunteer project tackling food poverty and social isolation, is appealing to the local business community for support ahead of its flagship fundraising event this Christmas.
The community-led project will host its popular “Scone Off” competition at the Deer Park Hotel on Saturday 16th November 2025, bringing together local people and businesses to raise funds for its Christmas food and gift deliveries.
To make this year’s event a success, Operation Rudolph is seeking contributions in three key areas:
- Raffle prizes – donations of prizes of all sizes are welcome to help drive ticket sales.
- Auction prizes – organisers hope to attract exclusive, “money-can’t-buy” experiences and items guaranteed to spark competitive bidding.
- Event sponsorship – one business partner has the opportunity to sponsor the “Scone Off” for £250. The package includes prominent logo placement on event banners, acknowledgement in publicity, and a reserved table for guests.
Beyond event sponsorship, the project is also encouraging more local people to get involved in volunteering roles. The initiative is entirely volunteer-led, and new team members are always welcome to support planning and delivery throughout the year.
Full details about the project and how to get involved can be found at the Operation Rudolph website and for event information go to the “Scone Off” listing on Eventbrite.
