Honiton Carnival committee organises two illuminated carnivals each year to raise funds for local groups and organisations.
The main carnival, which is judged during the route, is held on the fourth Saturday in October each year starting at 7.30pm and the ‘just for fun’ Christmas Carnival takes place in early December each year starting at 5.30pm.
The route for the carnival procession begins at Ottery Moor Lane, proceeds along the High Street and finishes at Pottery Close.
Proceeds from the carnivals are donated to nominated local groups and organisations in March each year.
The committee is always looking for new members to join to help with organising the carnivals and fund-raising events.
