Hospiscare is the local hospice charity for Exeter, central and east Devon, providing free, specialist
care for people living with terminal illnesses.
The charity provides care to close to 2,200 people each year, in some of the hardest times possible.
With just c.20% of this cost coming from the NHS, the hospice relies on the generous support of the
incredible local community to help fund the rest.
Over 500 volunteers and our regular donors and supporters help us to care for people when they’re
most in need, no matter what their individual circumstances may be.
The charity’s care is rated as ‘five star’ by patients and families across Devon and as ‘outstanding’ by
the Care Quality Commission.
The hospice has an outpatient centre and two shops in Honiton.

Kings House on King Street in Honiton is home to the hospice’s east Devon specialist nursing team and offers support services including outpatient appointments, symptom-control clinics, complementary therapies, and bereavement support groups.
