About East Devon Osteo

Looking for a gentle, highly experienced, family-oriented Osteopath and Cranial Osteopath in Honiton?

Joyaa Antares is a Registered Osteopath bringing more than 38 years of clinical experience to his practice. Newly based in East Devon, he previously worked for 14 years in Somerset and over 24 years in Australia.

He specialises in four key areas

  • Babies
  • Children
  • Pregnancy care
  • Adults living with complex or persistent musculoskeletal symptoms

Babies

Babies often respond beautifully to osteopathic treatment. Sessions are calm and soothing, helping babies feel more settled, sleep more comfortably, and feed more easily. Even small improvements can make a meaningful difference to family life. Joyaa has particular expertise in managing torticollis (wry neck) and plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome).

Children

Parents commonly seek care for joint and muscle pain, digestive discomfort, headaches, and the effects of knocks and falls. Gentle hands-on treatment, combined with practical self-care advice, supports your child’s comfort and wellbeing.

Pregnancy & Postnatal Care

Pregnancy places unique demands on the body. With decades of experience, Joyaa helps ease tension in the back, pelvis, hips, shoulders, and ribs, supporting greater comfort as the baby grows. Postnatal checks are also available to support recovery for both mothers and fathers.

Adults with Persistent Symptoms

Those with “difficult-to-fix” problems are particularly welcome. Joyaa is known for his thoughtful, patient-centred approach, careful assessment, and commitment to safety and comfort. If he cannot help you, he will aim to refer you to someone who can.

About Joyaa Antares

A graduate of the European School of Osteopathy (Kent), Joyaa holds a BSc (Hons) in Statistics from UCL, a Master’s in Epidemiology from the University of Queensland, a Postgraduate Certificate in Paediatric Manual Therapy, and is a trained Infant Massage Instructor. Recognised as an Advanced Paediatric Osteopath, he combines extensive clinical experience with evidence-informed practice. He has undertaken substantial postgraduate training in Paediatrics, Cranial Osteopathy, and Pregnancy Care, and is currently training in Orofacial Myology.
