South West Blood Bikes is a volunteer-run charity providing free, urgent medical transport services across Devon and nationwide through a relay network with other Blood Bike groups. We operate entirely with volunteers, with no paid staff, and never charge for our services.
We are a registered charity with the Charities Commission (Reg. No. 1180510), HMRC, and proudly hold the Charities Excellence Framework “Trust Mark”. South West Blood Bikes is the official Devon member of the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes (NABB)
Our mission is to save lives, improve patient outcomes and support the NHS and Hospices by reducing their transportation costs.
South West Blood Bikes has recently started providing our free blood bike service to Honiton Hospital with the transportation of blood samples from Honiton to Exeter for testing.
